Highland Park Bass Stewardship Club

The Highland Park Bass Stewardship Club is dedicated to protecting, preserving, and improving Turtle Creek and its surrounding habitat for the benefit of our community and its fishery. Chaired by the Bass Team’s Vice President of Stewardship, the program gives 5th–8th grade students an opportunity to learn about conservation while taking an active role in caring for the waters where we fish.

The Stewardship Club combines education with hands-on service. Members will learn about healthy aquatic ecosystems, water quality, fish and wildlife habitat, native vegetation, and responsible conservation—and then put that knowledge to work through projects designed to improve Turtle Creek. From habitat restoration and creek cleanups to water and fishery improvement initiatives, the goal is to teach young anglers that great fishing depends on healthy water and that we have a responsibility to care for the resources we enjoy.

Through the Stewardship Club, we hope to develop the next generation of conservation-minded anglers while making a measurable difference in the health, beauty, and fishing quality of Turtle Creek.
